Weight loss workout ? When we scour the Internet in search of a way to lose weight, we will always encounter simple advice: run and keep a diet. With a diet the matter is basically clear, we should eat several wholesome meals a day, with a predominance of fats and proteins, but so that the overall caloric balance during the day is lower than our needs.
However, the question is: since we are on a reduction diet anyway, during which we lose pounds, do we still need to exercise? After all, it’s tiring, takes extra time, we come back after a workout covered in sweat and can barely stand on our feet. Not to mention getting up early in the morning to have a morning session of Kundalini Yoga, as recommended by specialists. Is this necessary for weight loss?

It turns out that while running is not essential, it pays off for almost every reason. Weight loss training causes several independent reactions of the body, and each of them is beneficial not only for our figure, but, perhaps even more importantly, for our health and well-being.
First, running cannot be discounted as a calorie burner. Depending on our body weight and running intensity, we are able to burn from 800 to even more than 1,200 calories in an hour! It’s not hard to see that this is an unmeasurable amount, since for a healthy woman weighing about 60 kilograms, the normal caloric requirement hovers around 2,000 calories. Adding an additional thousand to this number is a huge help in the fight against excess fat.
It is worth noting that during aerobics or intensive training at the gym we burn only about 500 calories per hour. Running is therefore the most efficient.
Another advantage of running is that it is excellent for improving circulation and heart rate. This is important because during weight loss, when we take energy from fat stored under the skin, many toxins and unwanted substances also enter our cells. Improved circulation allows them to be removed from the body. This is also equally important if we want to gain weight. Removing the products of metabolism from our body is very important for health. Therefore, we should run all year round, not only when we are losing weight. Such a workout will also significantly improve our mood, and this is due to endorphins, called happiness hormones, which are secreted during exercise. Thanks to them, it will be easier for us to overcome the hardships of a reduction diet, which is usually not very pleasant. If we don’t run, there’s a great danger that our motivation will successively decrease along with our mood, and from there it’s only a step to abandon our efforts and return to old habits. By running, especially if we try to do it regularly, and notice improving athletic performance, we are much more likely to succeed with our weight loss training.
The bottom line is that with weight loss training in the form of running, we burn more calories, we are healthier, happier at the same time, and there is much less chance that we will get bogged down walking past KFC and order a double set. Thus: running ? three times yes!
