Poland has seen very dynamic development of the storage market for many years. The demand for storage space is growing every year, and the changing needs of customers are prompting investors to introduce new solutions, such as the self storage service.

What is a self storage service?
The self storage service consists of renting self-service warehouses, also known as mini storage facilities. Solutions such as self storage facilities in Wroclaw and many other cities in Poland are available to both companies and individuals. In the world, the service in question has been operating for a long time, while in Poland it appeared about 10 years ago. Self storage boxes in Wroclaw and other parts of the country come in the form of rooms located in larger storage facilities or containers with direct access from the outside.
Self storage service increasingly popular in Poland
Self-storage facilities in Poland can be rented for the time being only in the largest cities, but as the representatives of Kangu Self Storage emphasize, this type of business will also move to smaller centers. From the point of view of investors, Warsaw is the most attractive, but self-storage services in Wrocław, Katowice and Poznań are also gaining momentum due to, among other things, rapid urbanization and the development of companies from various industries.
Renting a self-storage facility – what is the cost?
The amount of rent is one of the key considerations in deciding whether to rent a storage box. By far the most expensive in this regard is Warsaw, where you have to pay an average of PLN 80-130 net per month to rent a storage cell of 1 sqm. Modern self-storage facilities in Wrocław or Poznań are cheaper – here the media rate is PLN 100. Lublin and Sosnowiec, on the other hand, have prices at about 65 PLN net per 1 sq m. By comparison, the average European rate for 1 sq m of storage space is around €22 (about PLN 98). The final price depends on the size of the box, location and length of the contract.
