How to take care of a suit? Some valuable tips! The arduous search and then purchase of a perfectly fitting suit is only the beginning of our struggle with this garment that is an important part of our closet.
There are several proven rules that will allow our suits to be close to the condition they were in just after purchase.
1) After each use of your suit, use a garment cleaning roller to collect dirt, pollen, hair that may remain on it.
2) Before hanging the suit back in the dressing room, remember to:
(a) choose a wide enough hanger, aimed at protecting the suit from deformation.
b) before hanging the suit on the hanger, empty all leftovers from the pockets.
(c) hang the pants on a separate hanger equipped with crocodile clips. This will ensure that the pants fit properly.
3) If you are using a wool suit, give it a so-called steam bath to get rid of unpleasant odors and delicate folds. Conduct a steam bath easily in your own bathroom. Hang your suit near the bathtub and treat yourself to a hot bath while doing so.
4) Remember dry cleaners for your suit are not beneficial – treat them as a last resort
5) Don’t wear your pants and suit separately? Frequent use of a particular one separately will mean that when you want to use the jacket and pants together again, you will notice differences in color between them.
Caring for a suit is often a delicate activity. A small mistake can expose you to great nerves and therefore great costs. Therefore, when you are unsure or inexperienced in handling suits take help from reputable companies.
