In addition, adhesive tape is also placed underneath, so that the overlay does not slip off the edge of the table, and we can even find luminous overlays in the store, so that the child can see the potential danger, even when it is dark.
Another danger can be electrical outlets, and we must also secure them so that the child does not accidentally put his hands like that, because there will be a shock. We mainly secure open contacts, in this case we only use plugs, so that the child will not be able to insert anything into the socket. Another element worth mentioning is the door, which can also become dangerous for the child. The most common accident is the slamming of fingers, which is a painful affair, especially for a toddler, so in order to protect ourselves from this danger we must use a door lock, which is always placed at the top edge of our doors, or on the hinges themselves.
If we have a two-story house and the baby is at the top, we also need to secure the stairs. For this purpose special barriers are used, which are lockable, this is an effective protection because the child is not able to pass or jump over the barrier. It is also often the case that children like to reach for part of the protruding tablecloth, this is very different for the child, because in addition to the tablecloth itself, on the table there are usually various glass objects, such as a vase, as well as hot drinks in the form of tea. Here the solution is quite trivial, we should not bet on long tablecloths, it is better to replace this with small napkins that our child will not reach.
