Hemorrhoids symptoms andtreatment – varicose veins of the anus. Thus, anal fissure is an elongated defect in the anal mucosa. In the formation of this disease, the greatest role is played by abnormal motility of the rectal muscles and impaired blood flow.
Its accompanying complaints include severe pain and bleeding. Anal fissure in its acute form is usually caused by mechanical damage to the mucosa by passing stool. The fissure heals within a few days. If it lasts longer, a sentinel nodule and papilla often also appear. The use of stool softeners, a stool-rich diet and suppositories to relieve pain are usually sufficient for healing.
Warm soaking baths are indicated. Surgical treatment is undertaken if there is no improvement after conservative treatment.
Ahair gulf (hair cyst) is formed by enlarged and infected hair follicles in the sacrococcygeal region of the spine. It most often affects young people, predominantly men. Trauma (such as in professional drivers ), excessive sweating and poor personal hygiene contribute to its formation. Symptoms include a painful bump, redness, an increase in the heat of the subcutaneous tissue of the area, one or more holes in the intertriginous furrow from which pus oozes. The hair cyst is treated surgically, and the technique of surgery is chosen depending on the severity of the disease and the general condition of the patient. Ozone therapy and cryotherapy give good results. The condition usually resolves spontaneously around the age of forty.
Perianal abscesses, on the other hand, arise from infection of the anal tubular glands or, for example, as a result of acute appendicitis, colonic diverticulitis or anal trauma. Depending on the location, perianal abscesses are divided into several types. They are treated only surgically. After surgery, it is necessary to use strong painkillers, stool softeners and soaks, and sometimes antibiotic therapy. A common sequela of anal abscesses is sometimes a perianal fistula. Treatment of a fistula involves cutting or excision of the fistula. In some cases, tissue adhesives are used, but they have limited effectiveness.

Anal condylomas (skin warts, also called venereal or genital warts) are caused by infection with the human papilloma virus. The problem is mainly associated with a person’s sexual activity. It is a contagious disease and can affect patients of all ages (including children). Symptoms include small lumps (growths) in the anal or genital area. When the disease becomes more advanced, extensive lesions around or inside the anus appear, including a deeply infiltrating tumor that can become malignant. Lesions inside the anus can cause burning, itching, a feeling of wetness, bleeding, and occasionally minor pain. Treatment is difficult and lengthy. Topical is most often handled by dermatologists. If drug treatment is ineffective, surgical methods are used: cryotherapy, excision, coagulation, laser. Another way is immunotherapy (autovaccine).
The most dangerous, but effectively treatable, is end-stage gastrointestinal cancer. Cancer diagnosed early is almost one hundred percent curable. In Poland, unfortunately, it is still sometimes detected too late and thus ranks second among cancer causes of death. Its symptoms are non-specific, and often there are none at all. Any rectal bleeding, change in the rhythm and regularity of bowel movements, diarrhea alternating with constipation, unintentional weight loss, problems with bowel patency should worry us. Treatment usually consists of radiation therapy and subsequent surgery. The tumor is excised and the continuity of the bowel is reconstructed. When restoration is not possible an artificial anus, known as a stoma, is placed. Cancer (cancer) of the anus most often affects people in their forties with a tendency to constipation, consuming large amounts of meat and little fiber, and using stimulants.
