A catpees in the house. A house cat that pees everywhere but in the litter box is a serious problem for the owner. Most often, the cat chooses places that are soft and easily kneaded with its paws, such as the bed, the couch, the basket with dirty laundry or the shelf with clean things in the closet. It is just as likely to leave behind souvenirs in corners and inaccessible nooks where it is hard to track them down so immediately. The cat, contrary to popular opinion, does not do this maliciously, it is pushed by its feline nature, which tells it to mark its territory. To control this, the basic thing we do when the cat is small is to teach it to settle its needs in a litter box with sand. The litter box should have a fixed place; moving it may confuse the cat. For the first few days, it is a good idea to observe the pet and, seeing the first signs of a change in behavior (for example, the cat while playing suddenly starts to turn suspiciously, sniffs at the ground or scratches with its paw), immediately move it to the litter box and hold it there for a while until it understands what is going on.

This usually happens quickly, because cats are intelligent creatures, admittedly not as much as miniature pigs. There should be one litter box per cat, so more cats automatically means more litter boxes.
The sand or litter is supposed to reach about three-quarters of the height of the litter box. It should be changed frequently, as the cat likes cleanliness and will choose our freshly bedded bed as a toilet instead of dirty sand.
If your cat is already bigger and suddenly starts peeing in different places, it means that the period of sexual maturity has begun in your cat. This happens in both male and female cats. Then the only solution is to sterilize the animal, which is a routine procedure performed in veterinary offices. After the procedure, the male cat recovers very quickly, while the female cat recovers for a few days, during which you need to watch that she does not tear the stitches on her abdomen. It is best to wear a special kaftan for her, which you can sew yourself or buy from a pet store.
Our pet after sterilization will no longer surprise us with unpleasant surprises, will become calmer and more homely.
